Dantyarishta
Method of Preparation
All the herbs except Dhataki are formed in a coarse powder and added in water, brought to a boil and reduced to a ¼ of its amount and filtered. Jaggery is mixed in this liquid and filtered again. To this decoction, coarse powder of Dhataki is added and poured in an air tight container, sealed and kept away for fermentation for a fortnight. The duration of sandhana karma should be 15-30 days.
It should be stored in a amber hue bottle in a cool, dark and dry area.
Dosage
- Adults: 20-30ml after meals with equal quantity of water twice every day.
- For children below 5 years – 2 to 5ml, between 5 to 12 years – 5 to 10 ml, once or twice daily according to the doctors prescription.

Contraindications
It should be avoided in pregnancy or during lactation period or taken under strict medical supervision.
