Kanakasava
Method of Preparation
Clean and dry the Kwatha Dravyas as well as the Pakshepa Dravyas and add it to 24.576 litres. Let it settle for some time and filter it with a muslin cloth. Transfer the filtered product to a clean jar and add prakshepa dravyas and other coarsely powdered drugs. Now, seal the jar and move it to the fermentation room and regularly observe the signs of fermentation. When the process is completed, the contents are filtered and stored in an amber colored bottle away from light and moisture.
Properties of Kanakasava
Use of this Ayurvedic medicine is quite effective to resolve the respiratory complications. Expectorant and decongestant properties of this medicine help to remove the mucous, phlegm from airy way, nasal channels, lungs etc. In the case of asthma, this medicine helps to manage the problems like narrowing of air ways, bronchial congestion. Dosage
2-4 ml with equal water after meals twice daily.
Contraindications
Over dose can cause stomach irritation and diarrhea.
It shouldn’t be taken without medical supervision. It may also cause side effects similar to those of Dhatura poisoning.
