I am on antidepressant pills. Should I discontinue or do I still need to take then with Manasa mitra?
Immediate withdrawal of allopathic antidepressant pills is not recommended. Your body may have developed drug dependency with them, so gradual withdrawal is advisable. Consult your physician for checking and reducing the dosage over the period of a month. Manasa mitra can be taken with other medicines including antidepressants keeping minimum 3 hours gap between them.
My doctor has recommended a high dosage of it (about 1 gram). What will happen if I take it in high dosage?
Manasamitra tablets contain several ingredients. Your doctor may have suggested high dosage according to your current health condition. Generally, its over-dosage does not cause any adverse effect, but an individual with PITTA body type or having a history of gastritis may feel heartburn or burning sensation. Long-term use of Manasamitra Vatakam Tablets in high dosage is not suggestible. You should consult your doctor time-to-time for reducing the dosage.
