Kalmeghasava (also spelled as Kalmeghasav) is used for the treatment of hepatomegaly (liver enlargement), splenomegaly (spleen enlargement), chronic fever and constipation. It has Cholagogue action, so it promotes the discharge of bile from the liver and gall bladder. Therefore, it improves appetite and metabolism in the body.

Lal Chandan (Red Sandalwood) – Pterocarpus Santalinus 1 Part
Ushira (Khas) – Vetiveria Zizanioides 1 Part
Dhataki Flower- Woodfordia Fruticosa 1 Part
Warm Water 100 Parts
Gur – Jaggery 40 Parts

Preparation Method: Take warm water in Asava Vessel. Add Kalmegh powder and jaggery to it and mix well. Then add all other ingredients in powder form and mix them. Leave it in Asava place for a month. Then decant the liquid and preserve it in food-grade bottles. Now, Kalmeghasava is ready.
